I ordered the lamb (the true test of any kitchen). The meat was falling off the bone it was so tender. We were there as a large group and everyone loved their food. Our waiter was a little slow, but we just ordered a few of their house tinis and margs, which were very tasty.

Their baba ghanoush is the best! For an entree the amb Couscous is also excellent. We used to live 2 blocks north on Wilson and still come back even after we moved!

The Best Mediterranean food on the planet! I have eaten at Chez Esada in New York, Gaylord's, Tizzi Melloul in Chicago, Tantra in Miami and every other high end exotic restaurant in America... Andie's blows them all away for half the price. Andie's is always consistent, fresh and delicious. They have the best hummus, dill rice and grilled chicken. The owner Liesse is very good at checking in on all the tables and making sure everything is up to your liking. Friendly enviroment... I suggest you check this one out. You don't stay in business for as long as Andie's has if you not doing it right.

First off I thought the food was fantastic. The appetizer Hummus/Spread medoly was great. I elected to have the Tri-Kabobs just to taste the seasoning on all the meats (chicken/lamb/beef/) and found all three to be perfectly cooked and seasoned. For the quality of food and service I received I found Andies to be a true value in my new neighborhood.

The biggest selling point of Andie's is that they are extremely vegetarian friendly, and there is literally an entire section of the menu with moderately priced vegetarian and vegan food. You will be hard pressed to spend more than 15 dollars if you order off that menu, per person, even with a drink. Always worth a casual dinner visit.

Andies¿ Andersonville location is still, bar-none, my favorite any-day restaurant in Chicago. Its fare is simple, nourishing and delicious; its extras are always appetizing, and its prices are as reasonable as they come. Further, as a vegetarian, I can say that the selection of meatless entrees cannot be beat in terms of number, variety and taste. Portions at Andies¿ have been consistently generous but not overwhelming, and dinner is preceded by a basket full of yummy warm (fried?) pitas. My personal recommendations include the Vegetarian Dolma, Vegetarian Potato Chop and Mediterranean Stuffed Artichokes. The Vegetarian Combo Platters are also extremely good and enormous! My fiancé the omnivore also swears by the Apricot Chicken ¿ just a little bit spicy but tempered with a fruity goodness. Personally, I could live on their dill rice alone: long, tender grains of luscious basmati tossed lightly in oil (mind you, this stuff is *never* greasy, just tasty) and loads and loads of dill. The dining room at Andie¿s is cheery and brightly lit. The acoustics tend to amplify conversation so that the place always sounds boisterous, but it never gets so loud that it becomes uncomfortable or difficult to hear those around you. Service has always been excellent and ¿ colorful, from the lovely girl with the rose tattoo on her wrist to the stoner with an excellent knowledge of wines. The owner makes nightly rounds of the place and double-checks that all is going smoothly.

What a great place! Service is always friendly, accommodating and fast. The dishes are creative and flavorful with ample portions. Wine list is extensive, and the wait staff actually know what they're recommending. Always look forward to heading here for one of the best dinners in Andersonville, or Chicago for that matter.

I'm not sure if I agree with the negative reviews posted here. I have been a regular at Andie's on Clark for over 4 years and have never left disappointed. The dishes are flavorful, nicely prepared and the service is usually good. I wouldn't describe it as stellar service, but they get the job done. And value for the money? You can't go wrong. I have brought friends here and they always ask when we'll be returning.

I am confused by the last two reviews as i have been to the resturant over 100 times and never had a problem with service or food. Sure some of their entrees can be bland but that's only when i tried some of their non middle eastern entrees. stick to what they're good at which is pretty much everything on the menu (kabobs, veggie combos, greek chicken, etc). and they have just redesigned their menus and added more. and to the reviewer who complained about her LOX and FETA cheese omlette being too salty? what were you exactly thinking?that those two incredibly salty ingredients would somehow temper their saltiness by being combined?

I love going to Andies. The food is always great and the service is friendly without being over personal. You can always see a smiling face here, but not on the Wednesday night host. This is the only day that I do not recommend eating here. It seems everyone is in not so quite a good mood this night and the host is rude to the customers and the employees. Doesn't make for a good dining experience. The kitchen is slower on the weekends I have noticed, but the food is always extraordinary with ample portions at the right price. I have been going to Andies for a number of years and will continue to do so. It's a great place for lunch with some great sandwiches and salads.

That was honestly one of the freshest meals I have had a restaurant in a long time. You can tell that care was put into the cooking process of every meal. We started out with the fried calamari. You will never eat calamari anywhere else after you have it here. Being a chef, I know that most restaurants use frozen squid for their calamari, but this was actually fresh and you can tell the huge difference. Great menu selection. This restaurnat is definetly for those with the adventerous palate. It took me at least 20 minutes to decide what I wanted. The food, flavors and atmospheres were awesome, but the service needed to be a little better.I will definetly return soon.

If you feel like some pure average food, Andie's is the way to go. The food is bland but not so bad, although in my book overpriced for what it really is, watered down greek/middle eastern food. Pleasant enough for me to return if I am ever in Andersonville not really knowing what "I feel like". Better than it's neighbour Reza's.

Andie's was wonderful. The newly remodeled location offers a very inviting and comfortable atmosphere with excellent service. The dining room is light and open and conversation friendly. The wine list is unique, reasonable and organized well on the menu. For an appetizer I would reccommend the standard saganaki garnished with dill(flaming cheese), although I'm not sure if I just butchered the spelling on that, or the stuffed artichoke, and the green olives are fabulous. The menu offers a wide range of delicious entrees, that are meticuosly prepared and presented from seafood, to stuffed chicken, to steak skewers to roasted lamb. Andies also offers a wide range of vegetarian options as well. Prices are more than reasonable and value far exceeds comparable greek/meditteranean restaurants I've visited. While a bit off the beaten path for me, I found the neighborhood to be unique and Andie's is certainly a place I would return to.

A few times the guy has been a jerk on the phone when I'v called for a delivery. Once while dining in we had terrible service, I even told the manager, something I rarely do. The waiter was such a prick. All this aside Andies is one of my favorite restaurants. We get food from there at least twice a month. Fabulous, interesting food. Wonderful vegetarian entrees. Prices are very fair. The restaurant is lovely especially in the summer when the doors are open.

This is a "Mediterranean" place, not really a Middle Eastern place. But it has a good selection of food that tastes very authentic from both locations. It succeeds in having perhaps the largest and best vegetarian menu in Andersonville, and it also has very juicy meat. Highest recommendations are the vegetarian platters (there are 3 of them), the potato chops (mashed potatoes rolled into a ball with eggplant inside), and even the "half Greek chicken" dish (surprisingly great!). Superb fresh iced tea, lemonade, and tea... and the soup and fresh buttered pita really round out your meal. Worth coming to at least once a month, and a GREAT date restaurant. Great date vibes and down the street from the Kopi cafe, which is a good after dinner place to go talk.
